Stephen

Naturopathy - Massage

Stephen's interest in natural health care began through dietary experimentation in the 1980's. After many self-cleansing programs, cooking courses, meditation/yoga retreats and the reading of many varied health-related books, decided to study Naturopathy in 1996.

After graduating as a Remedial massage therapist (1996) and Naturopath (1999), he and his young family moved to Bellingen to make a wonderful life together, and provide his new and highly valuable skills to the local community.

It seems as though the community was receptive to this, as he has become very busy successfully helping with bad backs and knotted necks, crook knees, belly bugs, croaky throats, bellicose bowels, jarring joints, and sad spirits.

Stephen continues to find this interaction with people to be a source of joy, reward, challenge and growth. Through Alchemy, Stephen relishes the opportunity to provide a wider and more complete service to the community of Bellingen and beyond.

Matthew Sincock

Shiatsu

Matthew is passionate about working at Alchemy and how Shiatsu can help people.

I love how Shiatsu uses a deep and gentle touch to connect to the fundamental core of a person. This is where the real healing begins and the body begins to repair itself. Shiatsu is also a very practical Japanese therapy based on principles of traditional Oriental Medicine. It has applications for all aspects of life. ”

Matthew first began to study Shiatsu and Oki-do Yoga with Michael Wynne in the early 90's. Then in February 2009 he graduated from the Queensland College of Oriental Medicine with a Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies. Matthew also keenly practices the Japanese zen martial art of Shotokan Karate - the way of the empty hand.
